If you’re in the market for a multi-benefit lightweight serum, a new measure dose of skin repairing pore refining goodness, with some glow-giving benefits, these new capsules will meet those needs. Scroll on to learn more.

What’s in it?

First up, let’s talk ceramides. They are hot for a good reason. For ageing skin or anyone who has overdosed on exfoliants or harsh soaps that strip the complexion of its natural oils, ceramides keep the skin's barrier healthy and functioning well. They also play nice with other anti-ageing skin ingredients such as vitamin C and retinol. Back to these new capsules and what’s in each precise dose. First, they are crammed with Phytoceramides derived from plants, as opposed to synthetic or from an animal. They have a natural affinity with the skin to nourish and strengthen it. Next is Cyclopeptide, which helps boost collagen production within each skin pore to tighten and improve the skin's overall texture. Finally, Hemisqualane is a lightweight bio-fermented sugarcane extract that hydrates, balances, and boosts skin clarity.

Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Light Capsules, in 30’s $95 and in 60’s $169.

Why do I like them?

The ceramide range of capsules has been a feature of my beauty routine for years. Brilliant for travel, they can slip into any regimen if you struggle with dehydrated skin, the look of open pores, or those genuine skin clarity concerns. Also, a bonus, once applied, I have noticed my makeup glides on and stays in place all day. Now to the packaging. If you are conscious of how cosmetic packaging burdens our planet, every ceramide capsule is 100 per cent biodegradable. Made from vegetable extracts, they dissolve in water when you're done, leaving zero waste. Yes, they live up to their reputation of being pure, potent, and precise, simultaneously caring for the skin and planet.

HOW TO USE Ceramide Capsules

I like to cocktail my capsules. I use the Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules blended with the Advanced Light capsules for the day and then the Retinol Ceramide Capsules with the Advanced Light Capsules for the night.

To use: Twist the capsule to open, squeeze it onto your fingertips, massage it to warm the serum first, and then apply to clean dry skin the day and night before moisturisers.
