With a family background in fine jewellery, Peter Thomas Roth might have taken a very different path. Instead, his family heritage helped shape his future in skincare. His grandparents owned and operated two thermal spa resorts in Hungary, where mineral-rich waters and traditional treatments, including therapeutic mud, were part of the experience. In 1993, Roth channelled that heritage, along with his own acne issues, to launch his namesake brand.
What began with a personal connection to skincare evolved into an internationally recognised beauty business, built around the belief that effective formulations should deliver more than promises.
