Our favourite local glass artist Lukeke Design has released the Pōpokotea/New Zealand Whitehead, their 15th bird to join the Lukeke flock. It’s a dainty addition with an elegant wing position, adding movement and variety to the current native bird offering.

A small songbird with a big voice, the Pōpokotea native Whitehead, loves living in noisy groups of eight or more birds. Found only in the North Island of Aotearoa, it prefers to live in the canopy of tall native forests and dense bushland, today, the Pōpokotea population is thriving.
