What is the Ph of the skin?

More than 130 clinical studies show that achieving the perfect pH balance is the secret to radiant-looking skin and shiny hair. The natural pH level (the acid-base or acid-alkaline balance on the skin and hair) must be maintained for this to happen. The skin's pH balance runs from four to six, which means it likes to be slightly acidic; at 5.5, it’s at its best. The same range supports healthy locks too. Your hair's natural pH is also acidic, ranging from 4.5 to 5.5. So, how do you know if your skin or hair is off-balance? Issues such as redness, dry patches, acne, oiliness, psoriasis, fine lines, or signs of ageing indicate that, while with hair, colouring and bleaching cause dull, flat, frizzy and dry hair, which means that too could be off balance.
