DKNY Be Delicious Latte: Meet the New Gourmand Fragrances

The iconic DKNY apple is having a major moment in 2026, and this time, it comes with a coffee order. Editor Trudi Brewer highlights three gourmand, feminine scents that will truly captivate you.

More than two decades after DKNY Be Delicious launched in 2004, that iconic green apple-shaped bottled fragrance was one of the most successful releases in modern perfumery.
Created by designer Donna Karan, it was designed to capture the energetic, fresh spirit of New York City. It became a global Y2K cultural milestone with prominent notes of green apple, cucumber, and grapefruit. Now the brand has a creamy update. Enter Be Delicious Latte, a limited-edition trio of gourmand (food-inspired) fragrances from the same city and its ever-growing café culture: Welcome, Be Delicious Vanilla, Matcha and Pistachio. It's a smart evolution of a fragrance that has always been about the energy of a city that never sleeps. While the original Be Delicious was fresh, crisp and unmistakably fruit-forward, the new trio keeps that playful spirit but swaps the juice bar for the coffee shop.

DKNY Be Delicious Vanilla Latte , 50ml, $70

Vanilla lovers, this one's your dessert order. Creamy, indulgent, and just a little spicy, it opens with a hit of pink pepper before melting into vanilla gelato, vanilla orchid, and solar amber. Warm, sweet and musky, it’s basically your favourite vanilla latte — with better staying power.

Fresh, green and slightly unexpected. The Matcha scent opens with mandarin, pink pepper and crisp apple (reminiscent of the original) before moving into jasmine, rose and matcha tea. Sandalwood, amber and musk give it a soft, warm finish.

If you like a gourmand scent, this is the one. Toasted pistachio, Italian bergamot, and Seville orange lead into café latte, vanilla orchid, and white peony, with marshmallow, tonka bean, sandalwood, and amber adding a deliciously creamy dry-down. It's nutty, sweet and cosy — essentially your favourite café order in fragrance form.

What makes these scents stand out?

The gourmand fragrance trend isn't going anywhere. This delicious scent family can instantly transport you to vanilla ice cream, your first coffee, Christmas baking, or your favourite dessert, which is powerful in fragrance because scent is so closely linked to memory. While vanilla tops the list for lovers of gourmand fragrance, sweet, nutty impressions like pistachio, matcha, caramel, coffee, marshmallow, and chocolate trigger an immediate sensory response - one that is both comforting and addictive.
After years of minimalist, clean, and your-skin-but-better fragrances, gourmands offer something robust and indulgent. Perfumers mix edible notes with musk, woods, citrus, and florals to make them more grown-up. DKNY’s new additions are a great example. Each scent plays on texture and contrast—creamy against fresh, nutty against citrus, sweet against woods and musk.
That's why DKNY Be Delicious Latte feels so timely. Matcha, pistachio and vanilla aren't just fragrance notes — they're café-culture shorthand, turning your taste buds into an olfactory personality.

DKNY Be Delicious Latte collection is also available as a Fragrance Mist, 250ml, $26.
