There is no better backdrop than Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour on a warm November evening from Park Hyatt’s Living Room. The perfect venue to celebrate our final, festive event for 2025. Our guests spent four hours being wined and dined in great company with exceptional beauty and wellness experts, planning their summer wardrobes with the latest fashion. Editor Trudi Brewer shares some of the best moments from what was a stunning twilight dinner.

Menu & Wines
After our glass of our champagne of choice, Piper-Heidsieck, The Park Hyatt served up a wonderful dining experience. From their famous focaccia bread, grilled with salted curd and olive oil, and roasted carrot hummus, accompanied by Rockburn Stolen Kiss Rose. This limited-edition blush wine was born out of a cheeky moment back in 2006, when Rockburn’s winemaker Malcolm Rees-Francis stole some Pinot Noir grapes. Destined for Rockburn’s Central Otago flagship Pinot Noir, once added to this blushing pink wine, its name has stuck. In its nineteenth season, it has become a summer essential ever since.
With the main course on its way, our guests could choose between a Salmon Caprese with heirloom tomatoes, buffalo curd, and gremolata, or beef tenderloin with herb pesto and a spring potato and tarragon pea salad. This course was matched with more of New Zealand’s finest wines, the white a crisp, expertly chilled Matawhero Pinot Gris. This popular wine is full-bodied, with notes of spice, pear, fig, and honeysuckle. While fruity, it’s loved for its voluptuous finish, which appeals to those who prefer a dry Pinot Gris. Or the Akarua Pinot Rouge, one of the prettiest Pinots on the market. If you are not drawn in by the beautiful label, this nouveau-style, oak-aged red is as enjoyable to drink in summer as it is on a cold night by the fire. With raspberry, strawberry, potpourri, dried herb and mushroom notes, it’s a sweet fruity red reminiscent of black cherry, raspberry and plum. Known for its silky texture, brightness, and a long red-berry finish, it can be served at room temperature or chilled, making it a wine to enjoy year-round. Dessert, created by the Park Hyatt's award-winning executive pastry chef, Callum Liddicoat, was a strawberry and burnt vanilla bar paired with strawberry sorbet, which one of our guests commented was as pretty as it was mouth-wateringly good.
Wellness
Alpers Dental
Practice manager Jacqui Anderson from Alpers Dental captured everyone’s attention with sound advice and her holistic approach to facial and oral ageing. Not only did she educate our guests on cosmetic and rejuvenating dental treatments, but she also shared the brand’s non-surgical snoring cure - that works.
As a destination, Alpers Dental in Auckland is leading the way with oral innovations, from restorative dentistry to treatments for jaw pain, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, cosmetic injectables, and that often relationship-threatening health issue: sleep apnoea and snoring. Alpers Dental has a unique, natural, non-surgical solution for sleep apnea and snoring. Anderson shared with our guests how this treatment works. “Our approach focuses on addressing the cause, not just the symptom. Snoring and sleep apnoea often stem from airway obstruction or poor jaw positioning. We use custom oral appliances that gently reposition the jaw and tongue to open the airway, improving breathing during sleep. A non-invasive method can be life-changing for both the patient and their partner.” To learn more, read our full review here.
Age Repair
The latest supplement, backed by science and delivering results in just 12 weeks, comes in a simple, portable sachet that uses liposomal technology.
Joining us on the wellness panel was Maggie Sun from AFT Pharmaceuticals, who shared how the new Age Repair Collagen Lipo-Sachets with Liposhell® liposomal technology enable the encapsulated ingredients to be rapidly and effectively absorbed. In addition to sustainable marine collagen, peptides—the building blocks of our skin for firmness—and antioxidant vitamins A, C, and E, each dose contains the water-soluble mineral biotin (vitamin B7), which supports glossy hair and nail strength too. Sharing these wellness innovations helped guide our guests to look and feel their best from the inside out.

Beauty
Ferragamo Fiamma
Synonymous with luxury, Fiamma is a name with a rich history under the Italian brand Ferragamo. In English, it means flame; it’s also the name of Salvatore Ferragamo’s daughter, and the coveted Ferragamo Fiamma handbag. Now, it’s the first feminine scent under Ferragamo’s creative direction by Maximilian Davis. This floral Oriental is as surprising as it is addictive. From the first spritz, the tart freshness of white pear blends effortlessly with tropical gardenia and a pinch of spice, but what lingers is warm amber. Joining us from Sydney on the beauty panel was Paul Croyere, the brand's fragrance expert, sharing advice on Fiamma, a sustainable scent made with over 80 per cent biodegradable ingredients. Its conscious formulation means the 100ml bottle is fully refillable - further reinforcing Ferragamo’s commitment to reducing waste while preserving luxury.
Lancôme
For decades, new skincare has come with anti-ageing taglines; today, the narrative has shifted to skin longevity. In short, skin longevity is the movement towards lasting skin health, regardless of age. And the latest luxury addition to the Lancôme Absolu collection is Longevity Soft Cream. Looking to K-beauty science for its key ingredients, PDRN (but not in the form of salmon sperm), this brand has turned to a botanical, Absolue Perpetual Rose extract from Korean roses, with trillions of rose fragments in every golden jar. Created to boost the skin’s hydration and visibly enhance firmness, this cream features another key ingredient, the brand’s patented Pro-Xylane. Our guests felt its velvety richness with a hand massage, while indulging in its elegant floral fragrance that lingers on the skin for hours. Lancôme’s Olvia Gibb guided our guests on the virtues of lifelong skin health and believes this isn’t merely a cream—it’s an invitation to pause, breathe, reconnect, and invest in your skin’s longevity.
Shisedio
Innovation is what this Japanese beauty brand, Shiseido, is famous for. Their latest foundation exemplifies it. Our guests got to discover RevitalEssence Skin Glow Foundation in their perfect summer colour match. A naturally radiant, not shimmery or dewy foundation, that is more than colour but skincare-active makeup, with ingredients such as probiotic-rich kefir and niacinamide (vitamin B3). Layered under this glow-giving makeup is another Shiseido innovation - sunscreen. Everyone’s skin’s BFF, the sunscreen collection offers not only protection from UV rays but also technology that utilises meticulously cutting-edge research and effective formulas that work at a cellular level. Lightweight and almost entirely invisible, this clever formula not only provides broad-spectrum SPF 50+ protection, but also strengthens with heat and water, keeping your skin safe under the sun. Joining us on the panel was one of Shiseido’s educators, Pauwai Komarkowski-Simpson, who shared just how important SPF is for keeping skin safe and looking youthful, as well as the benefits of skincare-active makeup as the final step in any beauty routine.
