Thank you to everyone who joined us at Mantells Tamaki Drive on Saturday, Jury 3rd. The weather turned on brilliant sunshine, the ideal way to spend an afternoon at a mid-winters BeautyEQ Long Lunch overlooking Okahu Bay and Auckland city in the distance. Our guests were greeted with a glass of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne on arrival, followed by warm bread and dips and a glass of room temperature Jules Taylor Pinot Noir. The first course was salmon served on an Israeli fritter and a choice of Jules Taylor Rose or Jules Taylor Chardonnay, followed by a delicious plum and hazelnut cheesecake.

Hailwood
Our guest speaker, who needed no introduction, designer Adrian Hailwood, has dressed celebrities, ballerinas and brides. And it's from his flagship store and design room in Auckland's colourful Karangahape Road, where he put together a standout collection for our style director to create our first fashion show to kick off the long lunch. Hailwood shared his career highs and tips on what makes a well-dressed woman, as well as his new luxurious range of jewellery. Our models wore a selection of day wear and one-off evening gowns, bedazzled with the new jewels all available or in-store now, or as a one-off custom-made service.

Beauty Panel
The focus of our beauty panel was how to, for hair, brows and skin. From advice on how to find the best brow shape to suit your face to the benefits of micro-needling and facial massage. How to tone your hair colour or touch up your roots at home. To the most luxurious and nutritious skincare, that firms your complexion from the inside out. Our brand partners at this event were in hot demand.
My Hairdresser
Lockdown highlighted just how much we rely on great-looking hair colour. The team from My Hairdresser were full of simple, practical advice on how to tone your brassy blonde colour and that DIY root touch-up between salon visits. Each guest was offered a free colour developer (the key to getting the right shade and reflet for professional-looking hair colour). As well as a colour prescription to suit their skin tone and natural hair colour, with sound advice on how to have a great hair day every day from home.

It was natural to create a nourishing skincare range from the same goodness that goes into Adashiko Collagen Powders. In addition, the team shared grooming tips and products to help our guests make the most of the brows they were born with, thanks to a range of brilliant beauty innovations on offer now from their six locations across New Zealand.
Manicare
DIY beauty tools are hot right now, and Manicare is at the forefront of this trend. From micro-needling with the Micro-needle Derma Roller to the benefits of skin-firming facial massage with the Nova Fit and DermaSOOTHE Massage Globe. Our guests got to enjoy one-on-one time with the team from Manicare and take home the right beauty tools to fit into their busy routines while suiting their skins need.
