Abercrombie & Fitch Authentic Self Women EDP

The latest designer fragrance reimagines a floral by adding zesty fruit with earthy musk. Here is confirmation that a sparkling citrus scent is an ideal addition to any fragrance wardrobe, even in winter, says editor Trudi Brewer.

Abercrombie & Fitch Authentic Self Women EDP 30ml, $70, 100ml, $101.

What’s in it?

The brand calls this ray of sunshine a citrus floral with a woody musky afterbite. The bright yellow glass bottle is a nod to the lemon zest evident from the first spritz. At the same time, the gooseberry and juicy pear give it a fruity edge. But the hypnotic white flowers at the heart of this fragrance, such as jasmine petals, freesia, and lily of the valley, once blended with absolute cedar wood, sandalwood, and musk, make it genuinely feminine. The touch of cork on the label is both grounding and a nod to the brand’s timeless, contemporary style.

The men’s version of the latest Authentic Self For Him was inspired by the luminosity of a summer morning. Think, instantly invigorating with a richness that sits on the skin for hours. Designed to clash perfectly with the primary yellow-coloured glass bottle of the women’s scent in cobalt blue, this heavy glass bottle is also branded with the same cork detail on the label, the subtle touches Abercrombie & Fitch is famous for.

What’s in it?

Chinese ginger, cypress, and Guatemalan cardamom, the same fresh freesia, with musky violet leaf, and Egyptian geranium. Finally, the creamy Madagascar vanilla, cedar from Virginia, and tonka bean from Brazil round off this EDP perfectly.

Why do we like them?

A ray of sunshine during winter can be found in this designer duo. We love the bold colours of the bottles and the freshness that every spritz offers the second it hits your skin. And there is more good news - if you've been looking for a new scent and those fan-favourite fragrances are out of your price range, this affordable pair is available and on par with any of their designer counterparts.
