BeautyEQ Long Lunch at Orakei Bay 2021

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Orakei Bay on Saturday 8th of May. It was the ideal way to kick off what was a restful Mother’s Day weekend. Here are the highlights from our first BeautyEQ Long Lunch.

What better way to spend an afternoon the day before Mother’s Day than at a relaxed long lunch with your girlfriends. Orakei Bay was the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy the company of your BFF’s.
Our guests were greeted with a glass of Brancott Estate Sparkling Brut Cuvée on arrival, followed by an artfully designed antipasti platter with warm bread and a glass of room temperature Brancott Estate Reserve Pinot Noir. The herb-crusted chicken breast with seasonal vegetables was accompanied by a choice of Brancott Estate Reserve Rosé , Stoneleigh Wild Valley Sauvignon Blanc or Stoneleigh Wild Valley Pinot Gris , followed by a decadent tiramisu - the perfect sweet treat for a ladies day.
Brancott kindly donated the proceeds from the cash bar to Dress for Success, a charity that not only empowers women to economic independence by providing a work-wear wardrobe it also provides the tools to help thrive in work and life.

Brancott Estate and Stoneleigh wines were expertly matched with the three-course lunch at Orakei Bay.

The tables were dressed with flowers from Feel Good With Flowers and the delightful scent of Essano candles. Guests left with a Trelise Cooper shopper bag filled with $250 worth of treats from our brand partners, including skincare, fragrance, makeup, Essano candles and more.

Our stunning flowers including a giveaway Mother’s Day bouquet, from Feel Good With Flowers.

DAME TRELISE COOPER

Hosted by editor Trudi Brewer, Dame Trelise Cooper got a very warm welcome from our guests as she shared her career highs, honest business advice and her beauty secrets - including what we would find in her beauty bag. Our style director Louise Hilsz curated a fashion show from the Trelise Cooper winter collection in-store now and gave our guests a sneak peek at the Trelise Cooper spring styles hitting stores in August.

THE BEAUTY PANEL

Our expert beauty panel shared the latest Shiseido radiant lifting foundation, which each guest got to sample and take home a few days supply. A Swisse naturopath educated the crowd on why collagen is a beauty hero and not just for the skin. Finally, a fragrance expert from Life Pharmacy shared the latest trends and a floral scent to suit every woman’s style.

SWISSE

Collagen is the hottest supplement right now, especially for women 30-plus, and Swisse offer something for every woman. The range on offer not only boosts the health of your skin, hair, nails and bones, but the Swisse powders do so much more. Our guests got to sample Collagen Renew, Collagen Balance, (and our editors choice) Collagen Glow and discovered these formulations are not only a beauty boost. They improve your immunity, gut health and help to reduce stress.

SHISEIDO

The search for the perfect foundation never ends; however, it makes a huge difference when you can try before buying. Shiseido shared their latest hybrid foundation they call the bridge between skincare and makeup, Syncro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation with the Synchro Skin Soft Blurring Primer, and tips on applying the foundation to flatter the skin in any light. Our models also wore Shiseido on the runway, sporting that lit-from-within glow and a pop of bright colour on the lips.

LIFE PHARMACY

According to fragrance expert Robyn Thomson from Life Pharmacy, there is a floral scent to suit every woman’s style; our guests got to sample the latest offer, all from top-flight fashion designers.
The brands on-offer included Marc Jacobs, Jimmy Choo, Armani and the latest creation from Carolina Herrera; the latest scents Thomson advice on the day was to try the fragrance on your skin to see if it suits you and you like the scent. Over the course of four hours, our ladies got to find a new signature scent.

FASHION FINALE

From workwear to after five party style, our guests got the chance to see what’s on offer and in stores to shop now. Our models wore a range of New Zealand fashion, including Kate Sylvester, Nom D, Zambesi, Karen Walker, Paloma Wool, Salasai, Twenty Seven Names, Kathryn Wilson and Mi Piaci shoes, with Deadly Ponies and Four Corners accessories.
