Davines Love Curl

One thing you need to understand about curly hair is that is not easy to manage. I should know, I wrestle with my frizzy, wavy locks every morning. Curly hair is often thicker than other hair types, and because the hair stands are in the shape of an S, it's prone to frizz.
It's also affected by the climate, the water you use and most importantly the products you apply. The best thing you can do for wavy hair is prep it with curl enhancing products like these.
What is it?
Davines have expanded its Love range to meet the needs of those wavy-haired customers with five new products. First up a Curl Cleansing Cream. Designed to be massaged into the hair damp and left on your locks for five minutes before rinsing. It will tame curl and cleanse hair at the same time. There is a Curl Hair Shampoo, Conditioner, a nourishing Mask, a Primer for smoothing hair before you apply heat, a smoothing Styling Cream and Controller (great for extra thick curly hair). Finally, a spray Revitalizer that refreshes the curl between shampoos, eliminating frizz and adding separation.
What's in it?
A Sicilian almond extract, grown by slow food farmer Carlo Assenza in Noto, Sicily. Its nourishing benefits are due to the enzymatic extraction process, that preserves the proteins and vitamin B, E, fatty acids and iron. That potent, hydrating goodness is housed in food grade plastic that is carbon neutral thanks to the brand's forest reforestation projects. Good for your hair and the planet - it's a bit cheesy to say, but how lovely is that.
Why do we like it?
Taming curly, often frizzy hair is hard work. It's affected by humidity and how you treat it, so you need to use specific products that calm and control the volume curly hair is prone to. This range is exquisite. I love the feel of the products in my wavy locks, and the results of a smoother looking head of hair. I like the simplicity of the package and the company ethos. I am always encouraged when a brand thinks beyond what's in the bottle (after all shampoo ends up in our oceans) to care for our world at the same time - thanks Davines.
