What's in it?

This new serum joins the famous Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Capsule family and is brimming with that well-known water-attracting ingredient hyaluronic acid (HA). The brand says the hyaluronic acid packed into each capsule is 500 times smaller than traditional HA, which is why it absorbs faster and deeper into the skin. That moisture magnet, along with nourishing lipids, known as ceramides, including sunflower, olive, lecithin, and avocado oils, works in the top layer of the skin to nourish and bind the skin cells together, forming a protective layer so your skin can keep the moisture in and the irritants out.  Finally, the ginger extract reduces inflammation and improves blood circulation excellent for calming and hydrating, tired-looking skin fast.

Why do we like it?

It's hard to be ardently committed to a skin routine, especially when you're juggling several different products, not to mention being time-poor. These single-dose serums are great for anyone who is busy (or maybe a little lazy). After a few days of double dosing (using these capsules day and night), my skin felt smoother, and I noticed less tightness after cleansing. While my wrinkles did not wholly disappear, those annoying fine lines from dehydration are less visible, which is more than I can say for some of the other HA-based serums I've used the past. The almost, gel-like, silky texture seeps into the skin seamlessly and immediately and feels so luxurious to use, and makes a brilliant primer under foundation. Finally, this pearl-size packaging is made with vegetable-based material and is 100 per cent biodegradable. So dig in; you can use these capsules anytime your skin needs a hydrating boost.
