My favourite supermodel of all time is Cindy Crawford, and it seems she is hanging up her G-string. After a four-decade-long career gracing the covers of every magazine imaginable, fronting hundreds of advertising campaigns, and hosting TV shows, just shy of her 50th birthday, America's most iconic beauty's plans to retire. "I'm sure I'll have my picture taken for ten more years, but not as a model anymore. And that's OK. I've done it. I've worked with all these incredible photographers. What else do I need to do," Crawford said.
Crawford attributes becoming a mother, launching a skin-care line, and home collection, as well as publishing a book, 'Becoming Cindy Crawford', there is more to life than modelling. However, only weeks ago, Balmain released their spring/summer 2016 ad campaign featuring Crawford, along with her fellow '90s supermodels Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer, I have to say they still 'look smoking hot' wearing designer Olivier Rousteing's sexy creations. Crawford's retirement marks the end of an era for fashion influencers; I don't think there will ever be another model to reach such fame as Crawford, even in today's look-at-me, social media-mad world.
