Gucci Guilty Elixir de Parfum Pour Femme, 60ml, $280.

What’s in it?

A lineup of ingredients that we think will appeal to everyone. Fresh from the first spritz thanks to the blend of bergamot, Mandora (captures the zest of blood orange and fresh mandarin), and subtle violet. Then, after a few minutes, you will notice its floral assets, including wisteria (slightly watery, like the scent of sweet pea), rose, and Osmanthus, which brings nuances of peach, plum and apricot. Finally, the earthy patchouli, vanilla and tonka bean leave a trail of ambery warmth on your wrist.

Why do we like it?

Everything about Gucci stands out, including the fragrances. The brand has managed to carve through the noise to create a cult following with a collection of perfumes we want to wear. Gucci Guilty is one such scent. The original launched in 2010, and there have been over a dozen iterations since then. Designed to express the feeling of true liberation and fearlessness (captured perfectly in the scent's tagline #ForeverGuilty). Now, a new Guilty Elixir joins that stellar lineup of popular scents that are not too feminine or masculine but strike the perfect balance between fresh and mellow to grab the attention of anyone sitting next to you. Now to the royal-looking glass bottles, Pour Femme is a romantic reminder of the power, magic, and mystery that the colour purple represents. Meanwhile, Pour Homme, dressed in citrus green, conveys liveliness and excitement. Finally, the interlocking GG logo proves that Gucci lovers have an abundance of flair you can spot far and wide.

Gucci Guilty Elixir de Parfum Pour Homme, 60ML, $240.

Intended to be masculine, but like us, if you’re partial to wearing men’s scents, this newbie exudes freshness and warmth. The first burst of peppery pimento and smoky nutmeg blends beautifully with orris butter, orange flower, and that summer fruit-like scent of Osmanthus. Finally, the velvety blend of woody, amber-like benzoin, vanilla, and patchouli remains for hours.
