OPI Tokyo collection

If I could choose one city to teleport to today, it would be Tokyo, in Japan. Not only for its vibrant fashion scene, and unique blend of rich tradition and nature, but its energy is unforgettable, and so is the new collection of nail lacquers from OPI says Trudi Brewer.

Some of our favourite shades from the new OPI Tokyo collection.

This new collection captures the mood of Tokyo perfectly, in Long-Wear Infinite Shine and GelColor formulas as well as classic Nail Lacquers. “Tokyo is known for being on the forefront of nail trends—a perfect fit for OPI, where we don’t follow the trends but set them,” says OPI co-founder and brand ambassador, Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “In this collection, we are revisiting the 80s and 90s, with pop colors that we’ve given a modern twist, taking inspiration from the famous Harajuku neighborhood. These shades will appeal to any girl who loves a pretty mani, from the millennial pink, lavender and lilac (Rice Rice Baby, Another Ramen-tic Evening) or a salmon-inspired shade of perfect coral (Tempura-ture is Rising!). There are also earthy shades for a more demure mani, inspired by nature from matcha green tea to Zen gardens (I’m On a Sushi Roll and Suzi-san Climbs Fuji-san). Also, vibrant purple and blue tones that reflect Tokyo's dazzling nightlife (Samurai Breaks a Nail, Kanpai OPI! and Chopstix and Stones). There's also a range of glitter and foil finishes, in silver and gold (Just Karate Kidding You, Robots Are Forever, My Yens in Ginza), and an iridescent two-tone blend of pink and silver (Judo’nt Say?). Finally, for those girls channeling a that unmistakable Harajuku vibe, you will be instantly drawn to the chunky glitters in silver (R U Happy 2 C Me), and a cherry blossom-inspired pink with flecks of gold (This Shade is Blossom). And on new collection would be complete without a touch of sparkle. In glitter and foil finishes, in shades of pink, pearl and gold, these include (This Shade is Blossom, Left My Yens in Ginza Now, Judo’nt Say? and R U Happy 2 C Me?). For a nail brand that never disappoints when it comes to cute colour and quirky names, this is one collection to covet.
