Gucci's creative director Alessandro Michele can do no wrong right now. The darling of the fashion world, there is no denying the cult-status of this luxurious Italian brand. Women of all ages can't get enough of his designer detail. From fluffy loafers to the latest 'Guccy' logo handbag and his most recent project, the reinterpretation of a classic - Gucci Envy.
What is it?
A new collaboration between Alessandro Michele and master perfumer Alberto Morillas, Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme, is a chypre (a blend of citrus top-notes and a mossy-musky aroma). Fruity in it's composition this fragrance remains unchanged from the moment you spritz it on until hours after it has warmed up on the skin.
What's in it?
There are four main ingredients, blackberry, GoldenWood (a synthetic note derived from blackberry), Bulgarian rose and patchouli. The composition of the fragrance is unique, Michele wanted to create a scent that was 'magical and connected to nature'. Hence the wild berry scent of blackberry with bergamot and pink pepper. A soft, luxurious rose aroma, the fresh pine-like scent of cypress, followed by amber and patchouli. It's certainly full-bodied and the addition of patchouli gives it a sensual edge.
Why do we like it?
Most women complain their fragrance does not last. Goldenwood the mysterious note derived from blackberry, is not a traditional ingredient and is what gives this fragrance longevity and its uniqueness. For lovers of crisp green fragrance or those who favour a jammy, sweet scent, you will both be satisfied by the sweet and tart notes blend seamlessly.  It has an ageless appeal and a lasting quality that is rare in today's plethora of new perfumes.
