Nourishing, hydrating and luxurious, we explore a tropical-inspired skincare range rich in coconut oil and laden with juicy watermelon.
We love an affordable body range and this one is not only gentle on the purse strings but is also a heavy hitter when it comes to its ability to offer skin intense hydration.
What is it?
Reniu Virgin Coconut and Watermelon.
What's in it?
This collection combines skin-loving pure virgin coconut oil with watermelon essential oils to create a divine smelling and nourishing range of body care. Using the base of cold pressed pure virgin coconut oil, this ingredient, an oil in the entire Reniu range is long known for its ability to penetrate the skin deeper than other oils making it the perfect addition to any skincare routine. Added to this is watermelon, which not only smells delicious and transports you to a tropical island, it's also instantly hydrating and rich in vitamins A, B6 and C.
The range and how to use it?
Sugar Rub, $30
Designed to give your skin the double benefits of exfoliating and moisturising, this sugar rub containing raw sugar cane crystals work to buff away dead skin cells while the coconut oil hydrates and nourishes the skin.
Tip - pop the tub onto the floor of your shower, or in the base of the bath to allow the oil and sugar crystals to soften to make it easier to disperse. As the crystals emulsify into a honey-like consistency, rub the scrub onto your body in circular movements.
Body Lotion, $30, Travel Body Lotion, $10
Silky smooth to apply and super-nourishing on the skin, this lotion is light, yet promises to lock in moisture as soon as it touches your skin. Nutrient-rich and beautifully scented, this is perfect for those who favour a milky lotion over a heavier butter.
Tip - we love to apply this to slightly damp skin fresh out of the bath or shower. This lotion is also available in a 50ml travel size.
Body Butter, $20.
If you love a rich butter as your daily moisturiser, this thick butter-like cream will soak into dry skin in mintues. A little goes a long way, making it the perfect addition to a body care routine if you have dehydrated skin.
Tip - this butter also doubles as a salve for nouishing rough patches on elbows, knees, feet and even cuticles.
Body Oil, $35.
Oils are one of the best ways to keep your skin moisturised - they are fast absorbing, light, not to mention versatile. Use as a pre-shampoo cleanse in your hair, a bath oil, body oil and even as a way to heal cracked cuticles.
Tip - comb oil through your hair and wrap your hair into a warm, damp towel for an at-home hair mask.
Why do we like it? This range is beautiful. Its scent is heavenly, not to mention the ingredient benefits these products offer your skin. Choose to layer the range to get the most out of the collection, or pick your favourite from the range. It's worth noting that the base of pure coconut oil means the products do harden in our cool New Zealand climate. So we found it was good to warm them up in the shower or bath, or massage them between your palms before use.
