Find out what beauty director Sarah Simpson is going to be using for a fresh start into 2018.

A range of different beauty products arranged against a seashore background

I like to start my new year by tweaking my beauty lineup - here's what the new additions to my daily routine look like.

Benefit Porefessional Pearl in pink bottle sitting on black lid

Benefit Porefessional Pearl, $58.

The latest addition to the primer offering at Benefit Cosmetics is a twist on their popular Porefessional Primer. There's just one difference; this pore perfector offers a pinky-peach subtle shimmer to the skin. You can still expect the matte, pore-disguising qualities you get from the original, and a flattering shimmery glow.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask in pink bottle sitting on silver lid

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask, $79.

One of my favourite Clinique, offerings comes from the Moisture Surge family. It is all about plumping up dehydrated, parched skin and this mask does just that. I like to pop mine in the fridge, and then apply generously to my face and neck and leave overnight to let it works its magic.

Trilogy Refresh and Shine Shampoo in white bottle

Trilogy Refresh and Shine Shampoo, $25.

I am all about going natural with my hair care due to the fact it goes straight down the drain into our oceans. So Trilogy ticks all those caring for nature boxes for me. This natural alternative contains antioxidants such as keracyn, found in artichoke hearts, their trademark rosehip oil and aloe vera which combined coats the hair shaft protecting my locks from sun damage - oh and it smells great.

Evolu Smoothing Body Loiton in white and blue bottle

Evolu Smoothing Body Loiton, $31.

Another natural alternative I am quite fond of is this body lotion from Evolu. Bursting with active botanicals that all work to nourish, promote healthy circulation as well as soften rough patches such as elbows, knees and heels.

Avene Lip Balm with Cold Cream in white bottle with orange labelling

Avene Lip Balm with Cold Cream, $27.

I always seem to get sun damaged lips in summer. Containing the famous thermal spring water, this brand is famous for, you will also find cold cream and sucralfate which work to nourish, heal and repair parched, dry lips - it's genius.

Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel in a glossy white jar

Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel, $69.

A multi-purpose product is a winner in my book, and during summer, this cooling gel repairs every beauty disaster, including acne, open pores and dry spots. Worn under or over your makeup, pop onto problem areas and you can expect results.

All products are available from Life Pharmacy.
