If you're after a little eye-lifting action, then the flick of a liquid liner will do it. And this season blue is the colour for summer. From sea-inspired deep navy to bright turquoise these bold shades are best teamed with a simple bronze or pink blush and a nude lip. Elizabeth Arden's global makeup artist Rebecca Restrepo says with a few easy steps you can create a classic or dramatic line. "Start by tilting your head back and looking into the mirror at the angle of your nose. This gives you the perfect view of the lash line." Follow her step-by-step guide below.
Here's our pick of liners and tips to help you master this look.

Yves Saint Laurent Eyeliner Effect Faux Cils in Majorelle Blue, $65. BY TERRY Line Designer Waterproof Eyeliner in Blue Fix, $68. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Cobalt, $36. NARS Eyeliner Stylo in Atlantic, $47. Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Bold Defining 24HR Liquid Eye Liner in Electric Blue, $49.

1. Trace the line first:
Use a pencil to apply dots close to the lash line. This creates a guide to follow when applying the liquid liner.
2. Rest the brush:
Resting the brush against the lash line is essential and prevents you from making the line too thick.
3. Create the flick
Next, pull up slightly on the corner of the lid with the other hand to expose the skin closest to the lash line. Work slowly in short strokes along the line, and out beyond the corner of the eye. This allows the brush to do all the work for you. Apply a second coat to deepen the colour.
4. Perfect the line:
Finally, to make the liner pop, trace under the flick with concealer. Use a shade slightly lighter than your actual skin tone, this will highlight the sharp-looking line.
