70's inspired interiors

The carefree nature of the 70's era has been captivating fashion designers for a few seasons now. So, it's no surprise that this trend has migrated to interior style. Polished metals, loud geometric patterns and colour in avocado green, teal and punchy orange is how to get that 70's vibe in any room.

Top tips:

Retro-style does not mean you have to go overboard with garish colour, and clashing patterns. Instead, introduce one cool Mid-Century modern chair or patterned rug.

If you want your room to scream 70's, dress it with soft furnishings in shades of yellow, orange and teal. A splash of these shades helps mark this era perfectly.

To get a modern twist on a 70's look, introduce metallic shades such as copper and gold. A bold geometric floor rug, and moody hues of blue or rustic brown.
