As opening shows go, the darling duo of this years NZ Fashion Week, Harman Grubisa were very restrained when it came to beauty. They resisted the temptation to create theatre, and sent a very understated look down the runway on Monday 22nd August. Paired back, it was the perfect expression to suit their classic fashion creations. From a hint of soft pastel peach to a bold raspberry lip, this show had a lady-like and very wearable appeal. That contemporary lip and well-blended glimmering tan eye makeup, really did pop under the lights. The work of Kiekie Stanners, Senior Artist for MAC Cosmetics and her team, "I was inspired by the elegance and ornateness of the Baroque period. Super luxurious, delicate touches on the face,” said Stanners. So to kick off what is the most celebrated week of high fashion here in NZ, we're hoping this feminine makeup vibe will continue.
