Victoria Beckham is about to turn her exquisite fashion taste to beauty with a new limited-edition makeup collection with Estée Lauder, expected to launch in September 2016 the range named Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder.
Victoria Beckham fans across the globe are fizzing, (including me, I am a huge fan) with the news that ex-Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham is collaborating with Estee Lauder to launch a limited collection of makeup in September this year. Beckham, who debuted her classic high-end fashion brand, in 2008 has dabbled in makeup before; she previously partnered with Nails Inc on a nail polish duo - which was a resounding success. Early today Beckham released a statement: "I am thrilled to be launching this limited-edition makeup collection with Estée Lauder. The whole process has been both inspiring and eye-opening - from going back and revisiting the Estée Lauder archives through to working on the product with the Estée team; this feels like the perfect make-up partnership for me and my brand. I had long admired Estée Lauder, the woman, and the powerful brand that she created, so I am excited to offer both of our customers this make-up range and play a small part in her vision for women."
Lauder has been trying to attract a younger customer through colour for a few seasons now, using social media to break the news that Kendall Jenner, Eva Mendes and blogger Irene Kim had joined the brand. They also launched Estée Edit - a site loaded with inspiring tips and advice from influencers designed to attract a younger makeup lover.
However, with Beckham's new range the word in beauty circles is that customers old and new, will flock to her new line, and if it's anything like her fashion that is classic, wearable, well tailored with a feminine edge, I for one will be buying it.
The makeup collection will be available online at Victoriabeckham.com and Esteelauder.com as well as at selected retailers.
I can't wait to share the colours - I'm picking there will be a got-to-have nude lippy in the range and an outstanding skin illuminator.
Any ideas on the range of shades she will launch in the collection?
