We are counting down to the holiday season, and with Christmas just around the corner I was feeling a gold theme emerging. Here's my nod to sparkle this season.
MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Double Gleam, $64. This is the most luminous skin correcting powder I have used. Dust it over a tinted sunscreen and it gives skin a beige silver finish that is super flattering - it's coming on holiday with me.
Guerlain Parure Gold L'Or Radiance Primer, $114. For the party season ahead, this is the ideal primer for giving skin instant radiance, as well as a hydrating boost; it's top shelf in skin perfecting.
Jurlique Nutri-Define Superior Retexturising Facial Serum, $175. The ultimate natural approach to firming skin. A raft of plant extracts includes horseradish to tone, while mulberry root, rosemary leaf and peppermint leaf extracts help revitalise a dull complexion. But more than the ingredients the texture and scent are both divine.
Sally Hansen 18K Gold Hardener, $18. Weaning my nails off that fortnightly Shellac has been an exercise in nail rehab. But this protein enriched, shatter-proof polish has helped strengthen my weak peeling nails. Wear it alone for a hint of sparkle, or as a top coat over any lacquer.
ECOYA Sweet Fruits Candle, $55. I love Christmas, and the first sign of it in my home is a pine or fruit candle burning. This year I am in love with the blend of pink grapefruit, guava and citrus. You can expect 70 hours of gorgeous scent filling the room.
BrowGal Double Ended Highlighter Pencil, $40. I use this as my concealer and highlighter most days. The shimmer end is brilliant to apply under the brow arch, and the matte end covers any skin imperfections. And the new shade Toffee/Bronze compliments my faux glow for summer.
DIOR Diorific Splendor Powder in O1, $130. Once you pull this powder out of your handbag - you will get noticed. Pressed powder infused with gold sparkle. It's begging to be dusted over cheekbones or décolleté - you will love the glowy effect.
MICHAEL KORS Midnight Shimmer Eau de Parfum, $175. I am a fan of Michael Kors anything, and this fragrance has the most exquisite blend of ingredients. Quince, freesia, jasmine petals and vanilla bean offer a beautiful touch of floral which is given a woody kick by the amber, moss and blonde woods. The midnight blue and gold glitter bottle gives it a luxurious touch.
JOICO Colour Therapy Luster Lock, $34. My hair is dry and curly; a combination which needs weekly moisturising treatments and this instant repair cream leaves soft, shiny hair in its wake - I am hooked.
