If you’re wanting the whole package, radiant skin, shiny hair and glossy nails then the saying “you are what you eat” could never be more true. Devon Eastwood investigates.
The truth to beautiful skin starts from nourishing it within. Packed with fiber, vitamins and disease-fighting antioxidants, dark leafy greens are some of the most nutritious foods you can consume. Kale, broccoli, spinach and collards (just to name a few) are commonly known for being“super foods” which are not only low in calories - they can lead to weight loss. They are also identified to boost your immune system while fuelling the body to get through the day and function at its full potential.
Cramming a delicious green smoothie with these vital greens is a convenient way to boost your intake of fruit and veg and reach that “five plus a day” quota. The darker the vegetable, the more B12 vitamins it contains, which is brilliant for hair ,skin and nail health. They also increase your energy levels and your body will become more inclined not to crave sugary treats during the day.
