The new-look French mani

The classic French polish has been around for decades. In fact a version of it dates back as far as the 18th century, and ever since then it has come in and out of fashion. The latest interpretation takes the clean lines of a classic French, and adds some stand-out colour.
Here are three of our favourite looks.

Double or triple stripe
The addition of a simple, fine double line helps lengthen nails and highlights the natural curve, Ideal with nude or clear polish as a base, and then teamed with a bold shade such as red or hot pink.

Mondrian detail
Forget the white tip with this trend, add black or navy in a block pattern to give this manicure a geometric, Mondrian-esque finish.

White and nude
White tips are made modern once highlighted by beige. When nails are dry, try underlining the white tip or highlighting the moon, with a stripe of nude or white. Then finish the look with a super shiny topcoat.
