Revlon Sculpt + Highlight Contour Kit

The contour craze is here to stay. But you don't have to channel the Kardashian's to put some definition onto your face. Our latest smug beauty buy is a makeup collaboration from Revlon and Aussie YouTube beauty vlogger Chloe Morello, and it's brilliant.

What is it?
Revlon Sculpt + Highlight Contour Kit, $29 is a palette with four skin toned powders that range from a yellow-based beige called Banana to a soft gold named Glow. A shimmer tan, in Bronze and finally a dark matte brown called Sculpt. It's been created for the most makeup challenged amongst us so you can master the art of contouring easily.
How to use it?
This is makeup, the one thing we want to point out is that it washes off. So you don't have to be a pro-artist to give contouring a crack. And it's not that hard to master. There is a handy guide in the box that you can follow to the letter but basically, you start by concealing any darkness with Banana including covering dark circles under the eyes. The Glow shade is for highlighting cheekbones, brow bones, and the cupids bow, while Bronze adds a hint of sun-kissed colour - we apply that from the temples down to just under the cheekbone. And finally, Sculpt is the shade that helps you create definition. Apply under the cheekbones, under the bottom lip, and then down the sides of the nose if you need to.
The secret to contouring is blending away any hard lines, and you can do that with the Contour brush that is a gift with purchase for this launch.
Why do we like it?
It's idiot-proof. The powders contain 'blurring technology' so they don't settle in fine lines, and the textures are so sheer, it's hard to be heavy handed. There are two shades Light/Medium and Medium/Tan. For under $30 we suspect it will sell out within weeks of it hitting counters November 1st - so be quick.
