The experience: I am not vain—and it shows. My rushed skincare routine has left a dehydrated, dull complexion that needed sorting before summer kicks in. Instead of getting a lecture about the state of my skin, my therapist’s only instruction was to lie back and relax. A double cleanse, with a velvety rich cleanser, followed by the cloth Hannibal Lecter-esk hydrogel mask, placed over my face. Designed to drench my parched complexion of much-in-need of moisture, the jasmine oil promises to brighten and tighten tired-looking skin. This More Than Skin’s signature lymphatic massage is the key to this treatment's success, in my opinion. The tension that the Aromessence Neroli oil serum infused massage can kill while balancing your skin’s own oil production is ingenious.
The bottom line: You can nip out to have this treatment during your lunch break, (your eye makeup is not taken off during this facial), and still have time to grab a bite to eat. Facials that last longer than an hour always make me antsy, so thank goodness there is a fast, but beneficial option on offer. While the time flew by—the effects were lasting, my skin looked bright and rosy for days – so for only 30 minutes that is is what I call success.
Allow 3o minutes, cost, $100.
My take home pick Decleor Aurabsolu Intense Glow Awakening Cream, $145. Fact: Seven million jasmine flowers are required to make one litre of jasmine absolute used in this skincare.
